This December Halo are BACK and extremely proud to announce our Christmas party will be held at the awesome Lightbox in Vauxhall on Saturday 12th of December.

The Lightbox is a truly unique clubbing space and is the only one of its kind in the world. With 15,000 interlocked LED lights that can be programmed in thousands of different variations, images, patterns and effects there really isn’t another venue like it anywhere in London. Standing in the main room is like standing in the middle of a fireworks display. These extreme psychedelic displays are worth the visit alone however our plans do not stop there. Not content with the capabilities of the in-house system we also decided to utilise cutting edge projection technology to bring Room 2 to life, turning the blank canvas walls into a fully animated imagescape.

Having created this incredible party environment the music policy promises to take things up yet another level with one of the most exciting bookings in our 10 year history headlining the party. Halo are extremely pleased to announce CRAZY P as our main booking on the 12th, a factor that promises to raise more than just a few eyebrows out on the streets. Crazy P are literally one the hottest names in dance music today. As a live band they have written some great albums and as re-mixers they are regularly putting out dance-floor monsters that have found their way into almost every DJs record collection. Playing alongside Crazy P we have a selection of very special guests on the bill, including Goodtimes and Notting Hill Carnival resident Russ Jay, up and coming producers of the minute Playset, Eleven Recordings label boss Olli Collins and many more. The music policy in the main room will be house all night long whilst the second room promises a more underground feel with a groovy deep techno vibe.

Crazy P started life as a duo (Chris Todd & Jim Baron) in 1995 under their originally name Crazy Penis. Their debut album ‘A nice hot both with…‘ received rave reviews around the world and demand for live gigs went through the roof. As a predominantly instrumental band up until this point, Chris and Jim decided a singer would add another dimension to the band, especially on the live circuit so they started looking for a like minded muso to compliment the line up…enter Danielle Moore. Danielle, originally from Manchester was a DJ and vocalist who perfectly fitted the mould. Soon she started writing lyrics and melodies for previous Crazy Penis tracks and working with them on the second album.

As the band gelled and the chemistry kicked in Crazy P continued their output with some superb remixes on prestigious labels such as Paper Recordings and San Francisco’s Naked Music. In 2002 came the triumphant release of the much anticipated second album ‘The Wickedest music’. By this stage the original line up had grown to incorporate yet more muso influences. Today the full line up includes Danielle Moore: (Lead vocals) Chris Todd (Guitar/ Keys) Jim Baron (Keys, Guitars, Horns and Backing) Tim Davies (Bass, Vocals) and Matt Klose (Drums). This evolution brought with it a new sound, a factor clearly evident on The Wickedest Music. Crazy P had started a new chapter and has since gone on to play all over the globe.

Over the last few years the records have just kept flowing. From their uber cool 24 Hour Psychedelic Freak Out album to their most recent offering Stop Space Return, it seems that everything Crazy P touch turns to gold. Add to this some of the best received remixes such as their recent massive hit, the remix of DJ Mujava’s Township Funk and its easy to see why DMC described them as “the most exciting British dance act to evolve since Massive Attack” and were previously voted as recording the Album of the year in the HMV charts. Today they are signed to one of the UK’s finest imprints 2020 Vision and with a tour of Australia and New Zealand approaching and high profile gigs all over London, UK and abroad Crazy P certainly seem to be going from strength to strength.

Starting off with a distinctly deep house vibe, the CD gradually explores techno in all its shades before grooving out with some percussive tech house after it’s peak.
